Understand the conditions that govern your booking

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to bookings and services provided by Chagua Africa Tours. By confirming a booking and making payment, you agree to these Terms. The lead traveler accepts these Terms on behalf of all participants included in the booking.
1) Booking & Confirmation
Your booking is confirmed upon written acceptance from us and receipt of the deposit specified in your quotation. If availability changes before deposit is received, we will propose comparable alternatives.
2) Payments & Deadlines
- Deposit: 30% at confirmation (unless otherwise stated).
- Balance: 70% due 60 days before departure.
- Late bookings (≤60 days): 100% due on confirmation.
Bank charges and card processing fees are borne by the payer. Payments are allocated net of fees.
3) Cancellations by Traveler
Written notice is required. Standard fees (unless your quote states differently):
- 90+ days: 100% refund less USD 200 admin fee
- 60–89 days: 50% refund
- 30–59 days: 25% refund
- <30 days: Non-refundable
Some suppliers/lodges may impose stricter terms which will apply.
4) Changes & Amendments
We will assist with reasonable changes subject to availability and supplier terms. Additional costs (e.g., fare differences, reissue fees) are payable by the traveler.
5) Pricing & Currency
Prices are quoted in USD (or TZS where indicated) and are subject to change due to taxes, park fees, currency fluctuations, or supplier increases not in our control. Confirmed, fully paid services are not typically affected.
6) Travel Documents & Insurance
- Valid passport (6+ months) and required visas are your responsibility.
- Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical, evacuation, cancellation, and curtailment is mandatory.
7) Health, Fitness & Special Needs
You must disclose any medical or dietary requirements at booking. Certain activities (e.g., walking safaris, high-altitude trekking) require suitable fitness and may have age limits.
8) Wildlife & Conduct
Wildlife encounters are not guaranteed. You must follow guide instructions and park rules. We may refuse service to anyone whose behavior risks safety or enjoyment of others.
9) Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., weather, strikes, epidemics, government actions). We will assist with re-arrangements at minimum loss where possible.
10) Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected service. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Third-party suppliers operate under their own terms.
11) Complaints
Please inform your guide or our office immediately so we can remedy issues in real time. If unresolved, submit a written complaint within 14 days of return.
12) Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Courts of Tanzania have exclusive jurisdiction.
